The road between Kowalewo Pomorskie and Golub Dobrzyń has been repaired
27 May 2019 Trakcja PRKiI completed construction of a nearly 10 kilometers long section of the provincial road no. 554 between Orzechowo and Kikoł in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province. The contract, worth PLN 12.7 million net, included removal of the old road pavement with elements of the accompanying infrastructure and construction of new layers of the road structure. The asphalt layers were additionally reinforced with a ground stabilizing net, which will extend the service life of the road. Also, the width of the new road was enlarged to 6 m.
New sidewalks, exits, and bus bays were built, the road shoulders were protected, and drainage works were performed along the repaired road.
The project will contribute to enhanced safety of traffic participants, thanks to the safety barriers built along the road and to modern lighting at pedestrian crossings, supplied with solar and wind power.
