Trakcja PRKiI as Partner of the High Voltage Cable Seminar
The HVC Seminar is the first meeting organized in Poland between Polish and European electrical engineers, and leading branch scientists. The seminar represents a training event, which provides the opportunity of active participation in the discussion of technical issues and experiences gained during delivery of projects, within a select field consisting of engineering experts.
The leading subject of the first edition initiated in Krakow in 2016 was the practical implementation of the newest design and construction standards for HV cable grids in Europe and worldwide.
Carrying on from last year, this year’s edition plans to include subjects covering the following issues:
- Voltage induced in return wires of HV cables,
- Operational systems of long-range cable lines (l>20km),
- Effects of low loading of HV cables during operation in electrical power system rated conditions,
- Optimization of voltage loading capacity of cable lines.
Issues specified in points 1-3 will be presented by outstanding world specialists from Power Delivery Consultants Inc. - John H. Cooper and Rachel I. Mosier, who actively participate in the works of CIGRE and IEEE scientific committees. Issues related to cable loading capacity (item 4) will be discussed by professor George J. Anders.
