The tunnel delivered before the deadline
Two weeks before the planned deadline in the second half of December, first vehicles drove on the new section of Niciarniana Street. The street runs below the railway line, between Łódź Widzew and Łódź Fabryczna stations.
The viaduct will not only improve vehicle and pedestrian traffic in this part of the city, but mainly increase security level and quality of life of the inhabitants. The facility, entirely built by Trakcja PRKiI is a part of the modern transport interchange, which was built together with the new platform for regional and agglomeration trafic.
The Łódź Niciarniana station will also play an important role in organising mass events on a nearby stadium - Łódź Widzew.
