Construction of the 110 kV Mielec–Połaniec line
Trakcja PRKiI has concluded a contract with PGE Dystrybucja amounting to almost PLN 4 million (exc VAT) for the alteration of a 110 kV overhead line at the Mielec–Mielec WSK section and Połaniec–Mielec Smoczka section.
The goal of the project is to shut down the existing 110 kV lines constructed in the 1970s. The project will involve the removal of the old sections of the line and the upgrade and expansion of the line. The works will involve the erection of 12 new lattice towers and steel tube pylons and installation of conductors. A part of the line, at a section with a length of approx. 0.5 km, will be buried. The works are scheduled to be completed by the end of December 2016.
