WKD line renovation ended on time
Complex renovation of track no. 1 of the Warsaw Commuter Railway at the route Warszawa Śródmieście – Komorów was executed according to the plan.
The task provided for modernisation of 17.5 km of track through, among others, exchange of rails at selected sections, gravel supplementation and renovation of drainage ditches. Also, 8 level crossings, among others, in Pruszków, Brwinów and Komorów as well as one pedestrian crossing were modernised.
According to the schedule, on 1 September, at 3:48 a.m. WKD trains restarted running on both tracks. Passenger’s travels are conducted as normal – 11 trains rolled onto trains within maximum railway capacity. Modernised trackway shall contribute to increasing the safety and comfort of travelling passengers.
