Trakcja Group granted a large road contract in Lithuania
Ab Kauno Tiltai, subsidiary of the Trakcja Group based in Kaunas, Lithuania, has signed contract on the construction of the western bypass of Vilnius, a part of the trans-European network junction, in stage 3.
The contract concluded between Ab Kauno Tiltai on behalf of a consortium of contractors and the Vilnius City Hall is worth over PLN 271 million net (PLN 328.6 million gross). The contract provides for the construction of the city's 5.4 km long bypass on the section between the streets Ozo and Ukmergės. Six traffic lanes along with six viaducts for motor vehicles and one for pedestrians will be built within the project. The investment also includes the construction of junctions and access roads. Earthworks will concern over a million cubic metres of soil. Additionally, the works comprise redevelopment of 20 km of 110 kV overhead power lines and the construction of nearly 14 km of water and sewage installations. The expected performance period will be 20 months as of the site handover.
