Yet another increase in Grupa Trakcja’s results

The increase in revenues, higher profits and, above all, lower costs and a big drop in debt - these are the main conclusions from the 2014 annual report of Grupa Trakcja. Trakcja PRKiI S.A. - the largest company in the Group - generated over billion zloty of revenue and doubled its net profit.

Grupa Trakcja closed the last year with revenues of PLN 1.6 billion (+ 25.7%) and net profit of PLN 50 million (+68%). At the same time, the Group significantly reduced its debt by nearly PLN 70 million, that is by almost 35%. Trakcja PRKiI S.A. closed year 2014 with revenues of PLN 966 million (+28.4%) and net profit of PLN 50 million (+100%).

“As we increased the scale of our business we have accordingly developed more efficient financing model, resulting in a decrease in working capital demand. As a result, we significantly reduced in the past year our debt from loans and bonds issued in 2013 and we improved the rate of return of the Company and achieved one of the best performances in our history. The improvement in financial standing of AB Kauno Tiltai - a subsidiary of the company - allowed us to pay advance dividends for the parent company for 2014.” - says Jarosław Tomaszewski, acting Chairman of the Board of Trakcja PRKiI S.A.

Currently, our key aim is to diversify our business into new markets. The Group expanded its scope of business in Lithuania in 2014, thus significantly increasing revenue from railway contracts. Last year, AB Kauno Tiltai acquired its first contract in Sweden. Currently, the Grupa Trakcja's contract portfolio, including contracts to be signed in the forthcoming weeks, exceeds PLN 2 billion.

"As an efficiently working organisation with strong financial base we are adequately prepared to the growth of competitiveness. The years to come, according to numerous forecasts, will be a period of unprecedented expenditures on infrastructure. In the view of increasing pressure on margins we have adequate potential, with our professional personnel, state-of-the-art equipment and trust of financial institutions, to further strengthen our position in the infrastructural construction market”. – Jarosław Tomaszewski concludes.
