Trakcja Group awarded in Lithuania
AB Kauno Tiltai - a Trakcja Group company - has received a gold medal in prestigious Lithuanian awards „The product of the year 2014“ organized by Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists for the construction of the Vilnius Western Bypass, Stage II.
AB Kauno Tiltai gained recognition of the Commission by completing the project six months earlier than estimated deadline.
Since the opening at the end of 2013, Vilnius Western Bypass became one of the most important transport lines’ for Vilnius residents and guests. It took 27 months to complete 2,87 km length of six lanes road with all supporting infrastructure. Total value of this project is 163,5 million litas (205 million zlotys).
Mr. Nerijus Eidukevičius, the chairman of the AB Kauno Tiltai board received gold medal from the Prime Minister of Lithuania Algirdas Butkevičius. It is the fifth award for the company in these prestigious awards.
The previous acknowledgments in “The product of the year” awards were for these projects:
- “Product of the year 2013“ for incredibly efficient and fast construction (6 months) of railway line to Vilnius International Airport,
- “Product of the year 2010“ for building the longest bridge in Lithuania (610 m), “Product of the year 2009“ for reconstruction of Kaunas railway tunnel, which was the most difficult and complex project in Baltic countries from engineering perspective,
- “Product of the year 2008“– 380 m length scaffold bridge for Vilnius southern bypass.
