Trakcja PRKiI S.A. - profit surges
The Company published its results for 9 months. According to the report, the increase in revenues by 35% and nearly five-fold growth in comparison with the analogous period last year were noted. The Trakcja Group, whose revenues are higher by 33% and already exceeded 1-milliard Polish zlotys, also saw better results.
Trakcja PRKiI generated revenues from sales of PLN 607.3 million, which is increase by 35% in comparison with the previous year. The gross profit on sales increased by 92.1% from PLN 21.9 million to PLN 42 million, whereas earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) were PLN 20.5 million (increase by 53.8%). It is also worth mentioning that the gross profit rose sharply from PLN 5.11 million to PLN 25,1 million (increase by 390.9%) and the net profit from PLN 4,7 million to PLN 22.5 million (increase by 382.7%).
Within 9 months in 2014, the Trakcja Group reached revenues of PLN 1.039 milliard, which constitutes the increase by 33.4% in comparison with the previous year. The gross profit on sales increased by 48.5% from PLN 66.6 to PLN 98.9 million. The gross profit is PLN 39.9 million (increase by 102.1%), where the EBIT value reached PLN 53.3 million (increase by 62.3%). The net profit is over PLN 18 million higher than the profit in the analogous period in 2013 and reached PLN 33.3 million.
"Our best results when compared with the previous year result from, among other things, the merger of Trakcja and PRKiI as well as constant improvement of management processes. We keep reducing the costs and apply new purchase policy, which allows us to obtain better margin on contracts. Currently, we are in the middle of implementing our new strategy. Having a solid position within the rail building industry, we are getting ready for increasing our activities in the fields of energetics and road construction. We are also thinking about new geographical markets. The first stronghold is the subsidiary of the Lithuanian Trakcja Group created in Sweden, which has just won its first road contract for the construction of a bridge with road arrangement near Gothenburg - says Roman Przybył, President of Trakcja PRKiI S.A.
On 16 October 2014, Trakcja PRKiI S.A. announced consolidation of its shares on the ratio 8:1. This procedure shall mean the increase in the nominal value of all series shares from PLN 0.10 to PLN 0.80. On 4 November 2014, the District Court for the city of Warsaw registered the new number of the company's shares, which are divided into share capital.
