We are building in Łódź

On the 5th of January 2022, in Łódź, TRAKCJA S.A. concluded a contract with the Łódź Municipal Investments Authority on the conversion of the road and track systems along Ogrodowa and Północna streets, which is to form part of the so-called Northern Boulevards. The Deputy Mayor of Łódź, Adam Pustelnik, who was present at the press conference, spoke about this concept as an exceptionally friendly solution, both to residents and tourists. He also emphasized that he was glad that the contract would be carried out by such a renowned company as Trakcja.

“We closely monitor investment initiatives in the city of Łódź, the multitude of revitalisation and development projects is very impressive. We want to be a reliable and proven partner for the city of Łódź in the field of ambitious multi-competency tasks, including projects related to systems, infrastructure, trams and traction"- commented Arkadiusz Arciszewski, Vice President of the Management Board of Trakcja on the signing of the contract, who was also present at the press conference.

The task is part of the Łódź city centre revitalization program, implemented by the City of Łódź. The works will cover a 650-meter section of the tram trackage, and at the intersection of  Nowomiejska Street and Północna Street a new tram turn is to be constructed to enable tram traffic between Wolności Square, and the terminus at Północna Street. The value of the contract signed on Wednesday was PLN 45 million gross.
