Another large railway contract in Silesia
Trakcja PRKiI S.A. is to design and perform construction works on 7 railway lines in southern Poland.
The task includes the restoration of technical parameters of the railway line sections with a total length of approx. 60 km, located on the section Chybie – Żory – Rybnik – Nędza / Turze. As part of the project, track surface and substructure will be renovated and 139 turnouts will be replaced. The contract involves the execution of works on overhead line, electricity and drainage system, modernization of the railway traffic control system and repair of passenger infrastructure, including: 21 platforms and 2 pedestrian crossings. In addition, 58 culverts, 17 flyovers and 13 bridges will be rebuilt.
The net value of the contract, in which Trakcja PRKiI is the leader of the consortium of contractors to perform the contract, is PLN 374 million. The partners of the consortium include ZUE and Strabag.
The work is scheduled to take 30 months.
