Supporting structures

To suspend drive mains various supporting structures are used , in the form of single poles as well as gates (a structure comprising two or more supporting poles with a rigid girder – bridge).

Steel poles are in the form of flat, lattice structures, spatial or of solid profile (wide gauge H-bar). The particular elements of lattice structures are connected by welding. The supporting structures vary in respect of height, width and cross section.

We produce:

Individual constructions

C-channel with triangle lattice with height:

- 7.4 m of channels C120, C140 and C160
- 7.8 m of channels C120, C140, C160, C180 and C200
- 8.2 m of channels C120, C140, C160, C180 and C200

H-bars with height:

- 7.4 m from H - bars HEB180, HEB200 and HEB220
- 7.8 m from H - bars HEB180, HEB200, HEB220 and HEB240
- 8.2 m from H - bars HEB180, HEB200, HEB220 and HEB240

Gate constructions (C-channel):

On single pail foundation:

a) Through-end pole of the gate with height:
- 9.2 m
- 9.7 m

b) End pole of the gate with height:
- 9.2 m
- 9.7 m

On two pail foundations:

a) Through-end pole of the gate with height:
- 9.2 m
- 9.7 m

b) End pole of the gate with height:
- 9.2 m
- 9.7 m

Girder supports of the gate E-3-4850

Cross bars, guy wires, tube booms 6001-6003

Structures fixing gate girders E-4590

Through traverse (all versions)

Guy wires of anchor poles with accessories (insulating sleeves, tee bars, etc.)

Girder fittings

Cross section depends on loads, for transfer of which the structure is destined.

The constructions are galvanized and painted (duplex method) with epoxy-polyurethane paints.

Galvanizing is made by hot zinc method by dipping the construction in liquid zinc bath. The coating formed in this way is at least 60 micrometer thick. In average environment corrosive conditions poles and bridges protected in this way can be used even for 30 years with no need for renovation of protective coating.

Section insulators

The task of insulators is to provide insulation between elements of the mains, which are live voltage and supporting structures and between the wires of different power supply sections. Use of a section insulator is the easiest way for longitudinal insulation of two traction sections.

In the past a section insulator used at the PKP railways since the beginning of electrification till the middle of the seventies comprised of for roller insulators positioned on cores braced by  yokes into two groups connected with steel flat bars. At our company we substituted the porcelain insulation with tie insulator made from plastic. Thanks to it the insulator weight was considerably reduced (insulator mass of an insulator to the mains with one drive wire – 17 kg, to the mains with two wires – ab. 21 kg) and distributed on almost four times larger length.

It also renders possible satisfactory cooperation with traction vehicle current collectors moving with speed of 120 km/h. Application extinguishers of electric arc enables passing of rolling stock with current reception, which was not possible in the case of porcelain insulators due to possibility of damaging of the insulators. The insulator to the mains with two drive wires eliminates the necessity of application of air breaks in the main tracks and in some cases insulated tension spans in places, in which mechanical division of the mains is not necessary.

At our plant we manufacture insulators to the mains with one and two drive wires as well as all the equipment necessary for fixing the insulators (wedge terminal holders, hangers, clamps, guides, etc.).
