New tasks on the MUZa II project

Trakcja PRKiI is currently performing two tasks consisting in delivery and commissioning of its 3 kV direct current switchgears of the MRK-3M type for the traction substations located, among others, in Pułankowice, Zaklików, Lublin, Polichno, and Niedrzwica, and in construction of the so-called "minus cells" in the Chmielów II, Otwock, Pułankowice, Polichna, and Niedrzwica substations. The total value of the tasks is equal to 4.4 million zlotys.

The works are to be completed in early September 2019.

The Power Supply System Upgrade (MUZa II) program, worth approximately 1 billion zlotys, conducted by PKP Energetyka, includes repair and construction of nearly one hundred facilities related to power supply of the catenary system. The project is correlated with the most important upgrade investment projects performed by PKP PLK: the supply of the lines from Warsaw to Białystok, Lublin, and Radom and the line from Poznań to Szczecin. Completion of the projects will enable failure-free train traffic and a reduced time of travel between those cities.
