Trakcja PRKiI to refurbish line No. 405 from Szczecinek to Ustka
Trakcja PRKiI has signed a contract with a price of over PLN 165 million for the design and alteration of approximately 90 km of railway line No. 405 at the section from the border of Pomerania Province to Ustka.
The project will involve the replacement of the overhead contact system and the tracks, subgrade improvement and alteration of 53 level crossings, 8 flyovers and 4 bridges. The scope of renewal will also include 26 platforms, which are going to be provided with new lighting, protective canopies and structural landscaping. Also, the Kępice station will be provided with a new pedestrian subway under the railway line. The project will also involve telecommunication works, electrical works, sanitary works and works related to train traffic control systems.
After the refurbishment, the speed of passenger trains on this route will go up to 100 km/h, and the speed of freight trains – to 80 km/h.
The project will be completed within 31 months from the work commencement date.
