Conclusion of Contract for LCS Łowicz
Trakcja PRKiI is to renovate a part of the Warsaw - Poznan railway line, at sections Sochaczew - Żylin and Placencja - Łowicz Główny, of the combined length of 50 km. The contract of the net value of 428 million PLN has been signed on the 18th of April.
The company Chairman, Mr Jarosław Tomaszewski, commented that „In spite of growing competition from other contractors, we are successfully defending our leading position in this works sector.. This year we have already signed contracts of the combined value of almost 700 million PLN, and we are expecting the successful conclusion of tenders of the value of over 1.2 billion PLN, where our proposals are at the top of the list.”
The signed contract covers works such as the reconstruction of the railway track and subgrade, replacement of overhead contact lines including the installation of new supporting structures, installation of new turnouts and renovation of railway traffic control devices, including the devices for the Local Control Centre in Łowicz. The contract includes the reconstruction of railway stations, construction of new civil engineering structures, modernization of telecom systems and auxiliary power supply lines.
The entire project will be completed within 42 months, counting from the date of the commencing the works.
