Grupa Trakcja has doubled its profitability
A two-fold increase in net profit at comparable revenue, contracts for nearly one billion PLN and a further decline in debt - Grupa Trakcja presented their results for the first half of 2015.
Grupa Trakcja achieved a two-fold increase in net profit in the first half of 2015 - compared to the same period of 2014. With comparable consolidated revenues amounting to PLN 565 million - a drop of 2.5%, net profit amounted to PLN 18 million in comparison to PLN 9 million in the period of 6 months of 2014. Grupa Trakcja has developed nearly 30 % increase in gross profit from sales - to the level of PLN 64 million, a 14 % increase in operating profit - up to the amount of PLN 24 million, and 10 % increase in EBITDA to the amount of PLN 36 million.
In the same period, Trakcja PRKiI S.A. achieved revenues amounting to PLN 346 million, i.e. lower by 9.2 %, while 14% increase in gross profit and increase in net profit up to PLN 23 million. The decrease in operating profit was 14% while the decrease in EBITDA was 5%. In the first half of the year, Trakcja PRKiI S.A. recorded also a further decrease in debt and reduced working capital demand.
We consistently raise the level of mark-up at comparable revenue and we generate higher profits - says Jarosław Tomaszewski, President of Trakcja PRKiI S.A. In the period from January to August 2015 we signed contracts amounting to over PLN 836 million in total. The tendering policy introduced by the new Management Board brings considerable effects, therefore we expect that we will be awarded contracts for over PLN 1 billion. We has successfully entered the road construction industry in Poland - we made the lowest bids in two expressway tender proceedings, so we expect a further increase in our portfolio of contracts.
