Modernisation of traction power substation for Tramwaje Warszawskie

Trakcja PRKiI S.A. will modernise the traction power substation (TPSS) for Tramwaje Warszawskie (Warsaw Tramways). The new facility will be fitted i.a. with the MRT-06/W DC switchboard, manufactured by the company.

The facility at ul. Tyniecka 30 will undergo a comprehensive reconstruction and refitting to adapt it to additional functions related to powering the tram lines in the district of Mokotów. Aside from the new fittings, i.a. the rectified units, the TPSS will be connected to the IT control system and will receive additional security features, i.a. a monitoring system.

The task will mark the fifth contract related to the supply of electric power to municipal track transport undertaken by the company this year. Currently, Trakcja PRKiI is realising similar contracts for the tram operating companies in Łódź, Toruń, Olsztyn and Bydgoszcz, fitting three new traction power substations i.a. with the MRT-06 tram switchgear.

The net value of the contract is PLN 5.046 million.
