Grupa Trakcja - much better results than a year ago
Grupa Trakcja has achieved higher revenue and margins, and most importantly higher profit as early as in the first quarter. In the first three months of 2015, the debts of Grupa Trakcja fell by over 60 million zlotys.
In the 1st quarter of 2015, Grupa Trakcja achieved revenue from sales on the level of 230.5 million zlotys, which is 31.0% more than in the same period of 2014. The gross profit from sales was equal to 22.4 million zlotys, which is 9.4 million more than in the same period of last year. The gross margin from sales was equal to nearly 10% in the 1st quarter of 2015, while in the same period of 2014 it was equal to 7.4%. In the 1st quarter of this year, Grupa Trakcja achieved operating profit equal to 3.1 million zlotys. The results from operations increased by 4.3 million zlotys compared to the 1st quarter of 2014 when Grupa Trakcja had a loss of 1.2 million zlotys.
In the 1st quarter of 2015, Grupa Trakcja achieved gross profit equal to 2.4 million zlotys while the gross result increased by 7.7 million zlotys compared to the 1st quarter of 2014 when the loss was equal to 5.2 million zlotys. The net result of Grupa Trakcja from 1 January until 31 March 2015 was positive and equal to 1.5 million zlotys. The net profit increased, compared to the loss in the 1st quarter of 2015, by 6.2 million zlotys.
As of the 31 March 2015, the long-term liabilities of Grupa Trakcja reached the value of 137.6 million zlotys, which was 13.7 million zlotys and 9.1% less than on 31 December 2014. The short-term liabilities reached the value of 440 million zlotys, which was as much as 29.1% or 180.1 million zlotys less compared to the short-term liabilities on 31 December 2014.
The revenue of Trakcja PRKiI S.A. in the 1st quarter of 2015 was equal to 155.3 million zlotys, which was equal to over 67% of revenue of Grupa Trakcja. The gross profit from sales of Trakcja PRKiI S.A. was equal to 15.1 million zlotys and was 32.3% more than the gross profit in the same period of 2014, while the net profit was equal to 2.5 million zlotys, which was as much as 254% more than a year earlier.
