The Trakcja Group generated PLN 22 million of profit for 9 months

The report published today indicates almost PLN 1.1 billion of sales and over PLN 22 million of net profit for the 9 months of this year. In comparison to the analogical period last year, the revenues of the Trakcja Group increased by 10%, and the profit increased by over 17%.

This is an excellent result, considering this year's short construction season caused by the long winter, and accumulation of revenues during last months of the year, typical for this sector - says Roman Przybył, the President of Trakcja S.A. The good results are largely due to the results of Kauno Tiltai - a Lithuanian part of the group, supported with the restructuring conducted at Trakcja S.A, which brings positive effects.

At the end of October, the merger plan of Trakcja S.A. and PRKiI based in Wrocław was announced. These are two entities with similar scope of activity, the consolidation of which will mainly bring optimization of the management of contracting potential and benefits of scale in the area of supply.

Group revenues in Q3 amounted to over PLN 531 million, and were over 30% higher than during analogical period last year. The gross profit margin improved reaching 8.2% in comparison to 4.8% during the same period last year. The result for the 9 months of 2013 was also positively influenced by sale of redundant assets and end of disputes with consortium members.

Financial results and organizational changes were noticed by financial markets. Shares of Trakcja S.A., listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 2008, increased by over 200% during the last 6 months, including over 80% during the last month.
