We will modernize another substation of the Warsaw Metro

January 24, 2023 Trakcja S.A. signed a contract with the Capital City of Warsaw for the modernization of the traction and power substation in the field of DC equipment (RPS, SKP, RST, SOU) at the A7 Wilanowska station of the first metro line in Warsaw.

The scope of the task includes, among other things, the replacement of installations and substation elements responsible for powering the metro trains, which consequently translates into the ability to heat, cool, ventilate or light them. For passengers, on the other hand, the upgraded substation will mean a reduction in delays and, if necessary, an increase in the frequency of underground trains.

The substations at Imielin, Ursynów and Kabaty metro stations, which were modernised between 2020 and 2022, will be joined by a substation at Wilanowska station in around 11 months.
