Another success of our Lithuanian subsidiary!

AB "Kauno tiltai" won the tender for the design and reconstruction of a transformer substation in Jonava, Lithuania.

Later this year, the reconstruction of the transformer substation in Jonava will be started and the project is important both for the city and the nearby industrial plants. Within the framework of the reconstruction project, some environmentally friendly technical solutions will be used, such as the replacement of large-size oil circuit switches with gas-based ones. Conversion of the substation will also reduce the number of possible failures and will contribute to the reduction of the total operating costs.

The 330/110/10 kV transformer substation has been operating on the outskirts of Jonawa since 1975 and is critical for Achema plant that works. The plant is supplied with electricity by six additional substations via six overhead lines.

The conversion of the Jonava transformer substation will be carried out by Kauno tiltai in several stages. In the first stage, to be completed within 11 months of signing the contract, the necessary designs will be prepared and a building permit will be obtained. Then construction works will be carried out for about 3 years and the completion is planned for the end of 2025.
