Trakcja Group awarded for the development of Polish-Lithuanian relations

The Polish-Lithuanian Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation awarded Kauno Tiltai for its contribution into building economic relations between the two countries. On behalf of the Trakcja group, the award was received by Aldas Rusevičius, the CEO of Kano Tiltai, and also a member of the management board of Trakcja PRKiI responsible for the Baltic markets.

Operating for over 7 years, the association is run by a group of members with recognized achievements in the field of science and culture, engaged in the promotion of bilateral cooperation between Poland and Lithuania through, among others, the implementation of educational and cultural programs. Each year, the Forum awards outstanding personalities from the life of culture, science, politics and business, who have contributed to deepening the cooperation and friendship between the two countries. This year, it decided to prize also the Lithuanian company Kauno Tiltai, which belongs to the Trakcja group. Maciej Radziwiłł, CEO of Trakcja PRKiI for many years, and then chairman of the company's Supervisory Board, pointed out in his laudation that the implementation of infrastructure investments contributes to bringing people and cultures closer. The cooperation between the two companies takes place through the transfer of technology and joint implementation of infrastructure contracts in Poland, Lithuania and other Baltic Sea countries. The partners of the event include the Polish History Museum and the Centre for East European Studies of the University of Warsaw.

Kauno Tiltai is the largest infrastructure construction company in the Baltic States. The company was involved in the implementation of several pan-European investments such as the construction of the Via Baltica route between Kaunas and Marijampolė or the Rail Baltica railway line on the Marijampolė–Sestokai section.
