Fourth contract in Zachodniopomorskie Voivodeship
Trakcja PRKiI signed a PLN 398.3 million contract for the reconstruction of track systems and accompanying infrastructure on the E59 railway line between Choszczno and Stargard.
With today's agreement we have approached one billion PLN worth of contracts concluded this year - says Marcin Lewandowski, President of Trakcja PRKiI. This is already the fourth railway contract that we run in the Zachodniopomorskie Voivodeship, and its total value exceeds PLN 1.5 billion.
The contract provides for the reconstruction of tracks and overhead contact line over a length of approximately 75 km, adaptation of 21 engineering structures to the function of animal crossings, and modernization of 10 railway and road crossings. In addition, the reconstruction of the Dolice railway station and 4 stops and 12 platforms with small architecture along with their adaptation to the needs of people with reduced mobility. The platforms will be equipped with modern lighting and passenger information system. Guidance paths for the visually impaired and blind will be installed on the non-slip surface of the platforms.
The consortium composed of Trakcja PRKiI, Schweerbau and SBM will be responsible for the implementation of the works. Trakcja PRKiI is the leader of the consortium and the share of works planned for the company is 50%.
Modernization of E59 line will improve accessibility for goods and travelers from Poznań and southern Poland as well as southern and central Europe to the Baltic seaports in Szczecin and Świnoujście.
