Trakcja PRKiI with a contract for LCS Terespol
Trakcja PRKiI has signed a contract worth PLN 417 million for the comprehensive redevelopment of three stations on the railway line E20 in the LCS Terespol area. The contract provides for the modernization of the following stations: Terespol, Małaszewicze and Biała Podlaska, which will cover nearly 49 km of tracks, 68 km of overhead lines and 8 platforms to be reconstructed. The facilities will be equipped with street furniture elements and a passenger information system. At the same time, the whole infrastructure will be adapted to the needs of people with reduced mobility.
In addition, several new engineering facilities will be built, e.g. the railway crossing along Lubelska and Witoroska streets in Biala Podlaska will be replaced by a two-lane road tunnel along with a pedestrian walkway. The pedestrian bridge at the Biała Podlaska station will be replaced by an underground passage, while the existing underground passage at the Terespol station will be renovated and equipped with elevators.
The contract also includes the construction of new buildings for the control of railway traffic in Biała Podlaska, Małaszewicze, Chotyłów and level crossing gatehouses in Terespol and Kobylany.
The planned duration of the project is 36 months from the date of conclusion of the contract.
